Current Pet Fountain Set Up

Welcome

Welcome to your new PetSafe® Current Pet Fountain.

Keep in Mind

The acclimation time may vary with each pet.

The sound of moving water triggers instinctual behavior to drink more.

The circulating water prevents mineral build up.

The filtration system forces water through a carbon filter that removes particles, bad tastes and odors.

The fountain will need to be cleaned before first use.

Preparation: Materials

Have the following contents from the box ready prior to set up:

Clean the Fountain

Clean the fountain once a month. Multi-pet households may need to clean every two weeks.

Wash all parts of the fountain using unscented soap, warm water and a small brush before first use.

Disassemble and scrub the pump.

Disassemble the Pump

Note: Place the pump parts in a safe place to avoid dropping them down the drain.

Note: The impeller is held in place by a magnet. This may give some resistance when trying to remove.

Clean all parts of the pump with unscented soap and warm water.

Reassemble the Pump

Place the impeller, stator, and faceplate back onto the base to reassemble the pump.

Rinse the Filter

Note: The carbon is made from coconut shells and is safe for your pet.

Rinse the carbon filter under warm water for 30 seconds before use. Loose black particles may rinse out from the filter and could be seen in the bowl if the filter is not rinsed thoroughly.

Acclimate Your Pet

If your pet is hesitant, try the tips below to help your pet get accustomed to their new fountain.

Don’t plug in the fountain for the first few days. Your pet may be intimidated by the running water.

Add a small amount of broth to the water to help attract your pet to the fountain.
