How to Acclimate My Pet to the PetSafe® Drinkwell® Mini Fountain

When being introduced to the Drinkwell® Mini Fountain, your pet may be cautious of this new and unusual object. After beginning operation of your fountain, simply allow your pet to adjust at his or her own pace. Some pets take several days or longer to begin use.

Your pet may prefer that the fountain be placed away from their normal feeding area. Try plugging it in somewhere else, like the laundry room, a bathroom, or another corner of the kitchen.

If your pet continues to be cautious of the fountain, unplug it and allow her time to use it.

Once she is comfortable drinking from the fountain, plug the fountain in and adjust the flow control knob to the lowest setting.

As your pet becomes more comfortable with the fountain, you may adjust the flow control to your desired setting.
