How to Add a Pet to My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Fence
Secure pets and remove all fence collars from your pets now. Your base will need to be set up before adding any collars.
Gather all the collars that need to be programmed and the existing collars and set them within 3 feet of your indoor base unit.
Power off all collars by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds. The collar will beep from high to low and the collar LED will flash red once and then turn off.
If you have the previous model collar with the removable battery, remove the battery to power it off.
Open the My PetSafe® App on your smartphone.
Select your existing fence.
Select Settings in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Select Pets.
Select Add a Pet and enter the pet’s name.
Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the collar to the fence. It is important to have only one collar powered on at a time. Once the collar is connected, it will beep 4 times.
Once the connection is complete and the changes have been saved, turn off the collar and repeat the steps for each additional collar.
