How to Assemble the PetSafe® Viva™ Fountain
Before You Begin:
Ensure you have disassembled and cleaned the pump and fountain components prior to assembly. Visit How to Clean the PetSafe® Viva Fountain for assistance.
Any container that directly contacts your pet’s drinking water should be cleaned prior to use and regularly thereafter.

Adjust the Flow Control on the fountain pump. High flow will create more bubbling than low flow.
Insert the pump into the pump housing, making sure to align the tube on the pump with the hole on the housing.
Rinse the foam filter with water then fit the filter around the pump in the housing.
Place the housing in the outlined area in the bowl. Make sure the front arrow symbol on the housing is facing the front of the bowl.
Feed the pump cord through the tube in the bowl. Press the silicone cap in the tube and fold over the cord and tube.
Rinse the Ion-X™ filter with water then slide the filter into the slot in the back of the bowl. The filter can face either way. It is normal to see some charcoal dust from carbon filters, this is harmless to your pet.
Fill the bowl with water to the fill line.
Align the top of the housing with the opening on the tower tray and press the tower tray into the bowl so that it is secure.
Connect the pump cord to the power adaptor and plug it into a standard electrical wall outlet. The fountain light will glow blue when it begins to bubble.
