How to Charge the PetSafe® Rechargeable Bark Collar
Know When to Charge
Your bark collar will indicate a low battery with a red light. When your collar is powered on and begins blinking red instead of green, it is time to charge the collar.
Remove the mud flap from the charge port and plug the charger end into the port. The charger end will only fit in one direction. Ensure you line up the ridge on the charger end appropriately.
Plug the other end of the charger into a USB wall adaptor (not included). The collar will have a solid green light to indicate the collar is charging.
When the charge is complete, the collar light will be off when on the charger. The collar will fully charge in approximately 2 hours.
Remove the collar from the charger and power it back on to resume normal operation.
Get the Most Out of Your Battery
- Each charge will last approximately 40 hours of use in between charges. This can vary depending on how much your pet barks.
- Turn your collar off in between uses to preserve the battery.
- Only charge the unit when it indicates low battery. Overcharging will shorten the life of the battery.
- Charge the collar once a month if you are going to store it for long periods of time.
