How to Determine Which Size PetSafe® Sliding Glass Door- 1 Piece is Needed
Important Information
To determine the right size pet door for your dog,you will need to measure your door frame to determine which height will be needed.
- The 81” sliding glass pet door is adjustable from 75 ⅞ - 81 inches.
- The 96” sliding glass pet door is adjustable from 91 ⁷⁄₁₆ -96 inches.
Measure Your Dog
With your pet standing comfortably, use a tape measure to determine the width of your pet’s chest.
Determine the height of your pet from the ground to the tallest point on their back above the shoulder.
Once you have these two measurements, compare them to the chart to determine the size of the door needed.
Rise: This is the height of the piece your dog will have to step over when going through the pet door from the ground to the bottom of the pet door opening. It is important this measurement is also taken into consideration when selecting a size.
If you have more than one pet, use the measurements from your largest pet. Ensure that both measurements meet the size requirements. If your pet’s measurements fit two different sizes in the chart, select the larger of the two sizes.
The Small and X-Large size pet doors are only available in the 81” panel height.
