How To Disassemble and Clean My PetSafe® Avalon Ceramic Pet Fountain Pump
Disassemble
Remove the faceplate of the pump.
Pull on the small tab to remove the stator.
Remove the impeller by pulling up from underneath the white plastic.
Note: The impeller is held in place by a magnet. This may cause some resistance when trying to remove it.
Cleaning
Thoroughly clean inside the pump and all the pump pieces. Use a mild dish soap and warm water to clean. If there is mineral build-up, soak the parts in a 50/50 water-white vinegar solution for at least 15 minutes before scrubbing.

Do not use bleach or any other harsh chemicals.
Reassemble
Replace the impeller, stator, and faceplate on the pump.
