How To Disassemble and Clean My PetSafe® Multi-Tier Pet Fountain
Important Information
- Clean the fountain at least once a month. Multi-pet households may need to clean more frequently.
- It is recommended to clean the pump and change the filters when cleaning the fountain.
Disassemble the Fountain
Unplug the power adaptor from the outlet. Disconnect the pump from the power adaptor. Then empty the fountain by pouring out any remaining water.
Remove the housing cap.
Remove the filter housing by pressing on both sides and lifting.
Slide the rubber grommet on the cord from the notch on the backside of the lower bowl.
Pull up on the carbon filter to remove.
Remove the pump from the bowl and pull the cord through the opening.
Clean the Pump and Fountain

Wash the plastic parts of the fountain with warm water and soap or in the top rack of the dishwasher.
Do not put the pump, power adaptor, or filters in the dishwasher.
Reassemble the Fountain
