How to Disassemble and Clean the Filters in My PetSafe® Drinkwell® Stainless Multi-Pet Fountain Pump
Remove the faceplate from the front of the pump.
Remove the stator from the pump.
Remove the impeller from the inside of the pump. This piece is magnetic so it can be tricky to remove. Use your fingernail or a small flat head screwdriver to slide under the top and pop it out.
Soak all components in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water for 20 minutes.
Use a small brush to clean inside the pump. Do not use a cotton swab. Fountain cleaning kits are sold HERE.
Rinse all the pump components thoroughly with warm water.
Reassemble replacing the impellor, stator, then faceplate.
