How to Disassemble My PetSafe® Happy Ride® Dog Bicycle Trailer
The bicycle trailer disassembles for easy storage and transportation. Follow these instructions to learn how to take apart the bike trailer.
Unhook the safety leash from the bike frame.
Detach the tow-bar from the black hitch on the bike by removing the clevis pin, then pull the tow-bar off the hitch.
Unscrew the star knobs from the roof support rod, then remove the rod. Place the support rod and star knobs inside the trailer to prevent misplacing.
Fold down the sides of the trailer.
Remove the wheels by pushing in the spring-loaded bolt on the wheel mounting bracket and pulling the wheel out.
Change the direction of the tow-bar underneath the trailer by removing the clevis pin.
Note: Keep the bolt in the middle of the mount connected to the tow-bar to keep the tow-bar attached to the trailer.
Place the clevis pin in the last hole on the mounting bracket to place the tow-bar in the stow position.
Clip the strap on the bottom around the tow-bar to keep the tow-bar in place.
Now the bicycle trailer is disassembled and ready to store! Make sure to keep all the pieces for the trailer together for easy assembly next time the trailer is used.
