How to Install and Use the PetSafe® Sliding Glass Pet Door Security Bar
Important Information
The Security Bar is compatible with the PetSafe® Extreme Weather Sliding Glass Pet Door, PetSafe® Sliding Glass Pet Doors, and PetSafe® Freedom Aluminum Patio Panel.

Install the Security Bar
Snap the clip onto the security bar. Then hook the bar onto the bracket and hold in place.
Place the security bar at the desired height and remove the pin to extend the inner rod to the necessary length. There are eight different length settings, adjustable from 12 ½ inches to 28 inches.
Further adjust the length by rotating the threaded end of the security bar. Extend or retract the bar as needed for the exact fit on your sliding glass door.
Mark the sliding door frame to indicate where to mount the bracket and clip.
Mount the Clip and Bracket
The clip and bracket can be installed with adhesive strips for a tool-free and temporary option, or with screws for a secure and more permanent option.
Mounting with Adhesive
Clean the back of the clip and bracket with rubbing alcohol. Allow to dry for a minute and then apply the adhesive strips, holding for 30-60 seconds for good adhesion.
Place the clip and bracket onto the marked spots of the door frame and press to secure the adhesive.
Repeat steps 1-4 with the bracket.
Mounting with Screws
Align the clip on the marked line. Mark inside the holes with a pencil.
Drill through the marked holes.
Secure the clip with screws until resistance is felt.
Do not overtighten the screws.
Repeat steps 1-4 with the bracket.
How to Use the Security Bar
Hook the bar into the bracket and swing the bar out.
Swing the bar up and over, then snap into the clip.
