How To Replace the Batteries in My PetSafe® SmartDoor™ Connected Pet Door
Locate the battery compartment door on the top edge of the interior frame.
Remove the battery door by pressing it down and sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
Remove the existing batteries from the door. Insert 4 new alkaline batteries:
- 4 C-Cell batteries for the Medium SmartDoor™
- 4 D-Cell batteries for the Large SmartDoor™
Never use lithium or rechargeable batteries, only alkaline.
Once the batteries are inserted, the Wi-Fi light will blink blue while the door reconnects to Wi-Fi. If the door has not been connected to Wi-Fi before, the light will flash yellow. Replace the battery compartment door by sliding it into place.
