How to Replace the Filters in the PetSafe® Viva™ Fountain
Important Information
- Fountains should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks.
- Replace the Ion-X™ filter every 2-4 weeks.
- Replace the foam filter every 1-2 months.
Multiple pet households may need more frequent cleanings.
Unplug the fountain from the wall and disconnect the USB plug from the adaptor.
Empty any remaining water from the fountain.
Important: To avoid spills, tilt the fountain back slightly and water will pour through the tray vent into the bowl.
Remove the tower tray, filter housing, and rubber cap.
Remove and discard or rinse the foam filter. Replace the foam filter around the pump in the filter housing.
Remove and discard or rinse the Ion-X™ filter. Replace the Ion-X™ filter into the bowl housing. The filter can be installed in either direction.
