How to Test My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Fence Collar for Correction
While outside, within the boundary area, hold the collar low but make sure the antenna is pointing upwards toward the sky. Do not place your hand over the antenna. If you have multiple collars, we recommend testing them at the same time.
Walk towards the boundary at a brisk pace until you hear the collar(s) beep. The beeping and vibrating indicatethe fence and collar are working.
If you prefer to confirm the correction with the Test Light Tool, start by turning the correction level to the highest level. For more information on adjusting the correction levels, visit How to Change the Correction Levels on My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Fence Collar. Then place the Contact Points on the Test Light Tool’s wires. Walk towards the boundary at a brisk pace and watch for an amber light on the Test Light Tool, indicating correction. If it is bright outside, you may need to cup your hand over the Test Light Tool to see the light better.
