How to Test the PetSafe® Elite Little Dog Spray Bark Collar

This collar activates when sound and vibration are detected. For testing the collar, you will need to have something that can create enough friction to cause a vibration. Examples can include the spiral of a spiral-bound notebook, a plastic comb, or a quarter that does not have worn-down ridges on the edge.
Use a coin to turn the collar to the ON position.
Note: You may wish to cover the spray nozzle with a cloth before performing the next step as the collar may spray.
Rub the back of the collar against the ridges of the coin or spiral of the notebook while simultaneously blowing into the microphone of the collar. Be sure to have the spray port pointed away from your face. This may take several attempts before getting the collar to activate.
