How To Update My PetSafe® Cat Tracker and Charging Base
The Charging Base will automatically update overnight if the following requirements are met:
The Charging Base stays plugged in at all times.
- Updates are pushed through overnight and will not be applied if the Charging Base is not plugged in.
- If the Charging Base does not have a light, visit Tracker or Charging Base Has No Lights or Power - PetSafe® GPS Cat Tracker.
The Charging Base stays connected to Wi-Fi, indicated by a solid green light.

The Tracker will automatically update overnight if the following requirements are met:
The Charging Base stays plugged in.

The Charging Base stays connected to Wi-Fi, indicated by a solid green light on the Charging Base.

The Tracker is on the Charging Base overnight.
- Updates are pushed through overnight and will not be applied if the Tracker is not on the Charging Base.
The Tracker is seated correctly on the Charging Base.
- Match up the charging contacts on the Tracker with the charging contacts on the Charging Base. There’s a magnetic connection and a tone when placed correctly.
Important: The Charging Base will apply any firmware updates to the Tracker while it is charging. The Tracker LED will slowly pulse white if an update is in progress. DO NOT remove the Tracker from the Charging Base until the update is complete.
