My 128 oz PetSafe® Outlast™ Fountain is Blinking Red

Important Information

If your fountain has a blinking red light, there is an issue with the fountain. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

Fill with waterFill with water

Fill the water bowl to the ledge where the white bowl meets the clear ledge. Do not overfill the bowl. Do not add water to the tower. This will cause damage to the motor.

Place Bowl on Fountain BasePlace Bowl on Fountain Base

Ensure the bowl is properly seated on the fountain base. Clear any debris under the bowl that may be preventing this. There should be no gaps between the bowl and the fountain base.

Assemble Cone, Spout and LidAssemble Cone, Spout and Lid

Ensure the spout and cone are properly seated. Press firmly down on the spout. Lift and replace the cone to make sure it is correctly placed on the stem. The bottom of the cone should be almost touching the bottom of the tower.

Disconnect Cord From Outlet and FountainDisconnect Cord From Outlet and Fountain

Recalibrate the fountain by unplugging it for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in. If the status light continues blinking red, please contact Customer Care for assistance.
