My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Collar Is Not Communicating With the Base.
Remove collar(s) from pet(s) before troubleshooting.
Confirm the collar is on. You can power your collar on by pressing and holding the power button for one second.
Confirm there is a sufficient battery. If the collar has a red blinking light every four seconds or the collar will not power on, charge the collar. For more information on charging, visit How to Charge My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Fence Collar.
Confirm the base unit has a secure Wi-Fi connection indicated by a solid blue light on the base unit.
Shake the collar to prevent it from going to sleep.
Verify the placement of the base unit:
- Is in a climate-controlled environment.
- Is not in a building with a metal roof.
- Is at least 5 feet off the ground.
