My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Fence Base Unit Is Blinking Blue

Identify the speed of the blinking blue light.

  • Slow blinking blue light- base unit is connected to the App but not Wi-Fi
  • Fast blinking blue light- base unit attempting to connect to Wi-Fi.

Verify the home Wi-Fi is working.

If Wi-Fi continues to disconnect, reconfigure the base unit settings to be connected to a 2.4 GHz network only, without the use of an extender or mesh network.

  • For help reconfiguring a dual-band(2.4 and 5 GHz) router to a 2.4 GHz band, contact the internet provider or manufacturer.

You can re-connect your Wi-Fi by:

  • Opening the My PetSafe(R) app
  • Selecting your system from the products list
  • You will then select settings and Wi-Fi Network
  • You will then connect your Wi-Fi by choosing Update Wi-Fi and following the on-screen prompts.

When selecting your Wi-Fi make sure to select a 2.4 GHz network only.
