My PetSafe® ScatMat® Indoor Training Mat Doesn’t Have Power

Press and release the power button on the left side of the controller.

Check to make sure the battery is installed correctly and lying flush inside the controller.

Ensure the battery is a 9V alkaline battery. The battery should not be rechargeable. It is also important that it is alkaline and not lithium, zinc oxide or any other type of battery. Place the mat in the desired location before powering the controller on.

Power the controller on and allow the mat to calibrate. Calibration will take up to 5 minutes and will be indicated by two dashes on the display. Do not touch or move the mat during this process.

Pet and Human should be 3 feet away from the mat during calibration.
