The Battery in the PetSafe® Stay & Play® Rechargeable Stubborn Collar is Not Lasting
A flashing red light on the collar when the pet is not in the correction zone indicates a low battery.
Charge the Collar
- A full charge may take up to 2-3 hours. When you place the collar on the charger. The light should be solid red. Once the charge is complete, the collar will have a solid green light on the charger.
- If you are not getting the proper light sequences when the collar is on the charger, contact Customer Care for further assistance.
Ensure you are powering the collar off in between uses by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds and the red light goes out.
- Ensure the collar is charged only when it begins to flash red indicating a low battery.
- If the collar is powered on continuously, the battery will need to be recharged approximately every 3 weeks.
- You will experience shortened battery life during the training period. This is normal and to be expected as your pet will test their boundaries the most during this period.
- When the unit is powered off in between uses, the battery will last approximately 1 month. If you need to charge the battery daily, contact Customer Care for further assistance.
