The Collar on the PetSafe® Stay & Play® Rechargeable Stubborn Collar is Flashing Red
A flashing red light on the collar when the pet is not in the correction zone indicates a low battery. If the collar is only flashing red when the pet is outside of the containment area, the collar is actively delivering a static correction.
Charge the Collar
- A full charge may take up to 2-3 hours. When you place the collar on the charger. The light should be solid red. Once the charge is complete, the collar will have a solid green light on the charger.
- If you have no lights on the collar when it is plugged, try plugging the unit into another wall outlet.
- If you are not getting the proper light sequences when it is plugged in, contact Customer Care for further assistance.
Ensure you are powering the collar off in between uses by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds and the red light goes out.
- If the collar is powered on continuously, the battery will need to be recharged approximately every 3 weeks.
- You will experience shortened battery life during the training period. This is normal and to be expected as your pet will test their boundaries the most during this period.
- When the unit is powered off in between uses, the battery will last approximately 1 month. If you are needing to charge the battery daily, contact Customer Care for further assistance.
