What do the Lights on My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Dog Fence Collar Mean?
Collar Light Sequences:
The collar will always display two different statuses. When the collar is powered on the first flash will show the battery strength and the second flash will show the GPS connection strength.
No lights: No lights on your collar indicate a power issue. Visit My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Dog Fence Has No LED Lights.
Blue flash every 4 seconds
Good battery, a good GPS signal. The collar is fully functional. No action is needed.
Blue flash every second
The collar is connected to power and charging.
Solid blue
The collar is connected to power and fully charged. It is ready to be removed from the charger.
Yellow flash every 4 seconds
The collar battery is low (less than 25% charged). Place on the charger soon.
Three yellow flashes every second with tone
Your dog is receiving a warning tone.
Yellow flash every second
The collar is powered on and ready to be paired with the base unit.
Red flash every 4 seconds
The collar battery is critically low (less than 10%). Charge immediately. Visit How To Charge My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Dog Fence Collar.
Three red flashes every second
Your dog is receiving a static correction (up to 15- second duration).
Red solid with no tone
Over-correction protection has been activated, and the collar is locked for 10 seconds.
Red Solid with tone
An error has been detected, and the boundary is off. To mute the tone, press the power button. The LED will continue glowing until the error is resolved. Contact customer care.
White flash every second
The collar is not receiving GPS data. Visit My PetSafe® Guardian® GPS Dog Fence Collar Is Flashing White.
White pulse
The collar is receiving a firmware update. Do not power off.
